Have you ever done tai chi chuan? Do you know the legendary story of how tai chi came into being?

The word Tai Chi is written in the Chinese characters that look like a wide open human body concentrating on the potential life force within.

The word Ji or CHI is an elaboration of the continual exploration of this moving body meditation. So, here is the origin of Tai Chi.

Once upon a time, there was a woman sitting on a mountain top, quietly observing nature. She became so inspired by the movements of the world around her that she began to dance, imitating all the natural elements she could easily identify.

She opened herself completely to the forces of nature. She became the forces of nature: sky, earth, fire, water, trees, flowers, wind, cloud, birds, fish and even butterflies. Her dance became ecstatic, completely transforming and transcendent.

So happy with herself, she then poetically named each movement motif; Bubble of the Cosmos, Yin/Yang Harmonic Loop, White Crane's flashing wings, Cloud Waving Hands, Golden Birds Balancing on One Leg, Embrace Tiger and Return to Mountain.

She was the originator of the Tai Chi dance. Her movement of creation could have happened thousands of years ago or could have happened right now, this very moment, somewhere, anywhere in the world. This person could be YOU!

YOU are the potential Tai Chi creator. You are not only the dancer but also the dance.

When you feel overwhelmed with your surroundings, your environment, transport yourself to a safe place in your mind's eye and watch creation itself unfold before you.

So dance the dance of life and go and be REMARKABLE!
