Hello and thank you for stopping by. Maybe together we can discover the undiscovered country that lies within our very being and hold each other accountable to our dreams and goals.

I have been on a quest for several years (seems like a millennium) to reidentify and reinvent myself.

I have researched many quotes, read many self-help books, studied many courses and basically, they all point to one thing, “Change is really up to you! You have the POWER to change!”

The one quote that really struck a chord with me was from Dr. Wayne Dyer. He said; “When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change!”

When I heard that, I found myself standing at the crossroads of “self-pity, self-victimization and self-doubt” and “Goals, Purpose, and Inspiration!” and asking myself if I really wanted to see change in my life. I finally acknowledged that I did and thus started my journey to improvement. (It is not a one and done type of thing. It takes commitment!)

That is why I started to change the way I see myself through ABT (Asset Based Thinking) because it is a simple yet profound experience which takes courage and is the Adventure of a Lifetime!

ABT favors inspiration and aspiration over desperation because it propels your momentum and dramatically increases your chances of being successful. You can change your circumstances, your surroundings simply by changing your attitude which in turn becomes infectious.

Be Infectious! Unleash your POWER, your INFLUENCE and your IMPACT, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME! There are many really good programs that will show you how to be a better person, but this is not a program, it is a life style of living within one's self.

ASSET BASED THINKING is a way of viewing reality. It embraces the positive side of life and frees a person of the Deficit-based Negative (-) side, the DBT!

ABT will reveal how even the slightest shifts in your thinking can lead to seismic differences. (If you want to read more about ABT, pick up the book “Change the Way You See Everything”)

So, how does it work you ask? It’s simple really. You look at yourself and the world through the eyes of what is working and your present strengths and potentials.

You block out distractions and create a focal point of concentration and high mental energy centered on assets. It helps keep you alert and inspired until you have maximized all there is to gain.

ABT is about focusing on your strengths (POSITIVE) instead of your deficits (NEGATIVE).

Example…instead of focusing your energy on those things you believe you can’t do, ABT helps you to focus your energy on those things that you are already doing. Instead of “What isn’t working?” ABT focuses your energy on What is working!

Don’t look at what you stand to lose, train yourself to find within what you have to gain!

Don’t dwell on your setbacks but train yourself to look ahead and acknowledge your achievements!

I was a victim for many years of DBT and I am not going to tell you that I am completely out of the woods but I can tell you that my journey is a little smoother because of shifting my focus. Yes, I still fall into that pit of selfishness and when I do I go back to the ABT’s SOS.

Now everyone knows or at least recognizes the universal signal for help, S.O.S. However, it takes on a whole completely new meaning in ABT terms that helps you focus on where to look for assets.

“S” – (SELF)

Reminds you to look “within” yourself for your talents and strengths that are most useful in any given circumstance.

“O” – (OTHERS)

This refers to your focus on the strengths and talents of others, and the positive qualities in your relationships. (Trust, Respect, Collaboration, etc)

“S” – (SITUATIONS)

This last “S” stands for the assets inherent in any situation. Good experiences naturally provide assets such as stimulation, opportunity and synergy. However, even unwelcomed situations contain important assets too which could include stimulation, opportunity, vital new perspectives on the future and reflections on new life lessons.

QUOTE: “Adventure is NOT outside man; it is within!” (David Grayson)

Start Calling Yourself To Action!

George Bernard Shaw said; “This is the TRUE joy in life, the being used for a purpose you consider a mighty one, the being a force of nature, rather than a feverish, selfish clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.”
